So you have ventured out into the real world on your own and are ready to start your own home based business. Finally, no more dealing with a boss and talking to nagging customers. What entrepreneur newbie’s do not understand is you still have to interact with people to create a successful home business.
Just because you will never see any of your customers and may never even talk to them over the phone does not mean you can hide behind the computer. In order to have success, you have to get out there and make a name for both you and your business. Interact and show people who you are.
The problem with hiding behind your computer is visitors and customers have no clue who you are. All they know is what they see on your web site and read from your content. They have no clue who they are dealing with and quite frankly do not even know if they can trust you.
By getting out and posting in forums and creating a blog, you have the opportunity to open up and show people who you are. You can interact and share your opinions to specific issues while taking in what others have to say. The more people get to know you, the stronger your relationship will grow and they will be able to trust you far more.
Putting up an article or content on your web site is not enough. All it is to visitors is words they can read. They want to hear you tell them about your products and explain how they will benefit from them. In addition, interacting with visitors gives you the opportunity to clarify any questions people may have.
If you think you can get away with writing content and hiding from customers you are wrong. In order to generate traffic, you must get out and promote the heck out of your web site. Do not sit back and expect people to come to your site. There are hundreds of thousands of other sites they can just as easily go to. Do not give them the opportunity to make their way to a different web site. Let them know you exist and make your voice be heard.
Having a home based business is an amazing honor because it is all on you. You have created it from ground up and are offering people something that can truly benefit them. But in order to get your point across and have success online, you must interact and get out of the dark behind your web site.
